THE RACE: The 5K and the 8K run will begin simultaneously. 5K and 8K runners will have different color identifications. The course will include both trail and paved track. Tech shirts will be given to every 5K and 8K runner.
LOCATION: The race will be held at Hawk Island Ingham County Park, 1601 E. Cavanaugh Road, Lansing, MI 48910. Located between Pennsylvania and Aurelius.
FREE PARKING and no park entrance fee at the time of the event. No dogs allowed in the park. For the safety of the runners we request that no babyjoggers are entered in the 8K Run.
TIME: Race Day Activities will start at 9:00 A.M. Activities will be Hosted by Earle Robinson, WKAR Sports Director.
REGISTRATION: Register with Pay Pal below or you may register below and return the completed entry form with payment to: LAP Respite Center, 840 E. Mt. Hope, Suite 101, Lansing, MI 48910. Registration forms will be available at Playmakers, or you may register on race day at Hawk Island Park between 8:00 and 9:00 A.M.
PACKET PICK UP: Friday, May 29th, 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Playmakers, 2200 W. Grand River, Okemos.
PACKET PICK UP up on Saturday, May 30th from 8:00 to 9:00 A.M. at Hawk Island Park.
AGE GROUPS: Male/Female: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64,
65-69, 70-74, 75 and over.
AWARDS: An award ceremony will be held following the 8K Scenic Challenge. Prizes are awarded to the top three winners in each age category and to the Overall, Masters and Grand Masters male and female winners. Races will be scored by Hickman Race Management. Results will be posted on Playmakers web-site, www.playmakers.com.
PRIZES: All runners will be entered in a drawing for Prizes at the race. Please check the Prize Board at the end of the race.
