LAP Respite Center, Inc., was established as a 501(c)(3), private, nonprofit agency providing lifespan respite services for families who care for children or adults with disabilities, chronic illness, or age-related conditions. 

Respite is the provision of temporary relief for caregivers and families who are caring for those with disabilities, chronic or terminal illnesses, or the elderly.  Planned respite time is a vital part of the continuum of family services intended to reduce family stress, support family stability, and minimize the need for out-of-home placements.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for family caregivers, by creatively providing a wide range of high-quality, accessible, and affordable respite services.

Our respite services are available to families living in central Michigan in the counties of Ingham, Eaton and Clinton.
